Glad you will all mend. Phew! As tragic as it all is, you have contributed more to the safety of others with this video - than any other. Drives how the need for checklists and never to let guard down. And to know about and always do checks that are not listed in official circles. I;m not a pilot but just take an interest. I can apply the principles and lessons to when cycling and driving though. I have a paramedic friend. They really are the best people! Amazing how brave people can be, strangers to help others out at their time of need. Which makes it even more crazy our leaders get us into crazy wars that kill good people on both sides and need not have happened.

Been around pilots since i was born…. My father a b24 pilot at 19 years in ww2 and then a fighter trainer pilot for the AF…always said stay awake til the prop stops on the ground parked. Dan is get the fact you are a great pilot and your pedigree proves it. That being said im impressed with you being that guy that says ok heres what happened and heres why and i learned my lesson and it wont happen again… this speaks volumes Dan and what we all can take away from this is it aint over till its over stay aleart….. you may have saved countless pilots with this lesson you got handed to you… thats the real take away and for that we as the aviation loving community thank you and are each and all hoping for a swift recovery for you. May the skys be blue and the wind at your tail my brother

Had a pilot friend and his mechanic crash a die , rescue said probably would both have lived if they had shoulder harnesses. My good friend installed a set in his airplane right after that accident. Dan you old hard head may need that harness next time hopefully not a next time but let’s all make sure we try to get harnesses in these old birds. I have an old 66 Mooney and it definitely has harnesses. We so happy all survived . God I don’t know you but I sill love your stuff.

I Busted my PPL Ride years ago Weight & Balance. I was in tears after years of hard work. This was my biggest lesson from God on flying ever. I prayed and the Lord 1st thing He said is You haven't Failed. It was because of Him not me. Weight & Balance in flying points to the final judgement Did you choose Christ to pay the debt I owed. In the book of life/Envelope Christ puts us so we arent found wanting by what He did for all of us. Its this phrase Weight X He is the long arm of the Law= Moment your caught up ever to be with Him Christs forgiveness is the CG in the envelope. He taught me this stuff during my flight training. I lost an engine in a Cessna & made a safe off field landing. Remember Christ will be your airplane and His Forgiveness is the only way to not get a scratch on the airplane & make a safe landing. Christ Can Heal up this terrible accident. I was moved to reveal this truth about what the real purpose of aviation really was much Love Everyone.

In the bible you have head & tail God is the Head & we are the tail. Tailwheel airplane. It should be Steerman. Only Jesus Christ can Steer your life correctly and is a man. Use the checklist and read #1 which is choose Christ. He taught me this about a Stearman airplane. God told me this phrase The Stick is your teacher or Christ is the Staff/Stick & teaches the world Steering their life If you'll or anyone will ask Him. An Airplane Crash in a dream or occurrence is in this case a picture of your life and I Need to spend more time with God thats What Chad forgot. Lockheed is a parable for mystery Babylon She didnt Heed the warning that she got locked up in an hour because she didn't Heed the warning not to forget God. Flying is a parable from God of this life are you going to choose Christ and fly back Home without an accident at the end in Christ DAN means in name meaning God is Judge/Daniel. Brakes represent reading the word of God & Slowing down. Brake issues represent No Brakes or failures represent a need to choose God before worse happens. Christ is the firefighter He defeated the bad things below in Him you can have a fire and it not harm you. Water & Blood point to LIFE and Christ is real in Heaven and is your medic and you'll Never Ever lose your life Remember He is the Stearman airplane i Got. I told the truth sounding Silly Ask The Holy Spirit to reveal this Put on the armour of The Lord. I'm so happy you are ok and that your friends are on the mend. I'm a bit confused because on your first video, you mentioned that the brakes were firm on both sides preflight. Forgive me if I misunderstood. How could the right side go soft during that short of time in flight? The only way for that to happen would be for something to cause the sealed right brake hydraulic system to become entrained with air. I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss that tail wheel my friend. Sure, other tail draggers may not be effected but can the same be said of the Lockheed 12A? Fore/aft weight bias could be different on that air craft. I mean it was designed with a lock for a reason while others aren't.
